Arka Sinha is a visual artist based in Kolkata, India, primarily working with photo-media, engaging with themes of ecology, memory and matter, often combining research-based methodologies with experimental image-making processes. His practice engages with photography not only as a tool for representation but also as a material and political system embedded within networks of extraction, labour, and technology. Arka holds a Master’s from Photography Design, National Institute of Design, Gandhinagar, India. He is a recipient of the Shared Ecologies Confluence Grant, which supports the project What is Left, What is Dead. His works have previously been exhibited at Photocircle, Chennai Photo Biennale, and Kolkata Centre for Creativity, among others.
